Description:

The RM20-01 unit is primarily designed for controlling the chipping process, with the option to pre-set parameters for three different types of wood or other commodities, quickly selectable using function buttons. Another two buttons facilitate navigating the menu, which, together with the operating information, is shown on a graphic OLED display with a resolution of 128x64 pixels. The unit has its own real-time system, which runs even when the machine is switched off, owing to the built-in battery. For connection to the machine, it has two speed measurement inputs, which can read from a sensor with NPN or PNP type signals, as well as four inputs for external buttons for start, stop, reversal and a safety switch, which can be set for NO or NC mode. The unit’s three outputs are logically connected to the inputs, designed for a load of 3A, two of which are for switching between forward and backward. The third output is available for signalling or for switching off the drive motor in the event of a malfunction or if any error is detected. All the outputs are designed as H-side switches with feedback. The diagnostics mean that the triggering of the valves is evaluated retrospectively and, if applicable, any error is evaluated, even in the event that the cutting disc is clogged, in which case the motor is stopped automatically. The unit is naturally equipped with a total operating hour counter and a daily operating hour counter. The total operating hour counter can only be erased or changed by the manufacturer, unlike the daily counter, which can be reset by the user. The operating hour interval can be set for the purpose of regular service; the operator is informed in advance with a ‘service needed’ message flashing on the display. The unit power supply and supply voltage can be within the range 8 – 32VDC. The unit is connected as standard by a Deutsch - 12-pin connector.
